Painting is my Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, my Harry Potter. Painting allows me the freedom to be adventurous, the freedom to experiment by using colors and mediums. Each painting allows me to explore patterns, textures and colors.
After working with children and watching how they create things without over thinking it and experimenting with different colors and mediums I found myself wanting to create in the same way. Letting go and experimenting and allowing each painting to take on a life of its own. I love using acrylic and mixing it with other mediums to see how they relate to one another. Both positive and negative encounters influence each painting. I feel as though a good piece turns out really well when all the materials come together and it flows.

2012 Aaron Douglas Art Fair Featured Artist
. I have a studio in the NOTO area, but I am in the process of opening a business there. The NOTO committe has successfully turned many of the old buildings into artists studios and lofts. We have antique stores and a cafe there, but we need more shops for artists to showcase and sell their work. Thats where you come in!! With your help we can turn a rundown unsafe building into a thriving shop that will not only support local artists but will contribute to the revitalization of a historic area and bring life back to it.
